Terms of sale
Standard terms for quotes, orders, payment, shipping, inspection, remakes and confidentiality at 7DayParts. If your quote states different terms, the quote takes precedence.
Last updated: 11 October 2026
These are our standard terms. A written quote or order confirmation may specify different terms for a particular order; where it does, the quote applies.
1. Quotes
Quotes are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise in the quote. A quote is based on the files, revision, quantity, material, finish and lead time you sent. If any of these change, we re-quote. Prices are in USD or EUR as shown on the quote. DFM notes in a quote are suggestions; we make the part as drawn unless you accept a change in writing.
2. Orders
An order is placed when you approve a quote in writing (email is fine). Production starts after payment is confirmed. The approved drawing and its revision, together with the quote, define what we make.
3. Payment
We accept PayPal, credit card via PayPal, and international bank transfer (T/T). Invoices are issued in USD or EUR. Payment is due before production unless the quote states otherwise. Bank and PayPal fees on the payer's side are the payer's responsibility. Pay an invoice on the pay page.
4. Lead time
Lead time is counted in days from payment confirmation, or from first-article approval where a first article is required. Standard production is 7 days or less; expedited production is 3–4 days where quoted. Shipping time is in addition. Lead times are our honest estimate; delays caused by late approvals, drawing changes, material availability or carriers can move them, and we will tell you as soon as we know.
5. Shipping, duties and DDP vs DAP
Parts ship by DHL, FedEx or UPS express with tracking, typically 3–5 days in transit. Unless DDP is quoted, shipments are sent DAP (Delivered at Place): we pay the freight to your address and you pay import duties, taxes and any customs fees on delivery. If the quote is DDP (Delivered Duty Paid), those duties and taxes are included in the price. Please give a correct delivery address and contact phone; costs from a wrong address or a refused delivery are the customer's responsibility.
6. Inspection and acceptance
Where a first article is required, you approve it from photos and measurements before the batch runs. Every order ships with an inspection report of the critical dimensions. Please inspect parts promptly after delivery and tell us about any problem soon after delivery, with photos and measurements. See quality and inspection.
7. Remakes
If parts are out of tolerance against the approved drawing, we remake them free of charge. This does not cover features not specified on the drawing, design changes after approval, damage from misuse or later processing, or normal variation within the stated tolerances. Unless a tolerance is given on the drawing, our standard tolerance of ±0.03 mm applies.
8. Your responsibilities
- The drawing is the controlling document. Where the 3D model and drawing disagree and we have not resolved it with you, the drawing applies.
- You are responsible for the design, including its fitness for purpose, material choice and compliance with the rules that apply to your product.
- You own the intellectual property in your designs. By sending files you confirm that you have the right to have the parts manufactured.
9. Confidentiality and NDA
We treat your files and drawings as confidential and share them only with the people quoting, making and inspecting your parts. We will sign your NDA or provide ours before reviewing your files on request. Where a signed NDA exists, it takes precedence over this section. How we handle personal data is described in our privacy policy.
10. Prohibited parts
We do not accept ITAR, export-controlled or weapons-related parts, and we may decline any order we believe falls into these categories or breaks applicable law.
11. Cancellations and changes
You can cancel or change an order before production starts. After production starts, we will tell you what can be stopped and charge for work and material already used.
12. Limitation of liability
Our total liability for any order is limited to the value of that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, production downtime or the cost of assembling, installing or removing parts. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
13. General
These terms, together with the quote and any NDA, are the whole agreement for an order. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. We may update these terms; the version on this page when you approve a quote applies to that order.
